Ajamu Bernard is the founder of The Kettlebell Training Academy (est. 2004), an education and training company that conducts fitness industry certificate programs and consumer workshops across Canada. Ajamu is a coach and teacher whose workshops specializes in helping everyday people, personal trainers, athletes and MMA participants develop a better understanding of how to integrate the Kettlebell into their individual training style.
Ajamu graduated with top marks from the prestigious Russian Kettlebell Challenge (RKC) Academy, given by the world’s top Kettlebell instructor Pavel Tsatsouline. He is an exceptionally talented KBell athlete who finds pleasure in communicating the biomechanical and mental benefits of his favorite training tool.
Ajamu’s style of training is a rhythmic combination of eastern influenced body arts, gymnastics, the study of old-school strength training techniques and a spiritual appreciation of the power of the human body. Through years of experience, teaching and using the Kettlebell for athletic performance, group fitness and educational workshops, he has honed his talents as a trainer and coach to emerge as the #1 Kettlebell Trainer in Canada.
Ajamu Bernard resides in Mississauga, Ontario. Prior to his career as a trainer, Ajamu worked for many years as a Product Manager for Motorola. He is a former NCAA basketball athlete who attended Georgia State University and has been working as a personal trainer and athlete development coach for over 10 years. Ajamu has also participated at a competitive level in soccer, Muay Thai, swimming and running.
